Blistex Relief Cream is a topical lip care product used to soothe and relieve the pain, discomfort, and dryness associated with sore, cracked, chapped lips and cold sores. It provides antiseptic and mild pain-relieving action alongside moisturising care to help restore comfort to the lips.

How It Works

Blistex Relief Cream contains ammonia and phenol, which work together as an antiseptic and mild anaesthetic to help reduce pain and discomfort on sore or damaged lips. Camphor and allantoin are also included to help soothe irritation and support the skin’s natural healing process, while the moisturising base helps to hydrate and protect the lip area.

Directions for Use

Apply a small amount of cream to the affected area of the lips up to four times daily, or as needed for relief. Gently smooth the cream onto the lips and allow it to absorb. This product is suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over. It is not recommended for children under 12 years of age. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. Possible Side Effects

Who Should Not Take This Medicine

• People who are allergic to any of the active or inactive ingredients in this cream
• Children under 12 years of age
• Those with broken, infected, or severely inflamed skin beyond normal cold sore or chapped lip symptoms — seek medical advice first
• Do not apply to areas near the eyes or inside the mouth

Interactions

No significant interactions with other medicines have been identified for topically applied Blistex Relief Cream when used as directed. As it is applied externally to the lip area, the risk of systemic drug interactions is very low.
