What is dapagliflozin?
Dapagliflozin is an SGLT2 inhibitor for type 2 diabetes that lowers blood sugar by helping your kidneys remove glucose in the urine. It also protects the heart and kidneys.

- UK brand: Forxiga
What dapagliflozin is used for
- Type 2 diabetes

How to take dapagliflozin
Usually taken once a day, with or without food. Drink normally and follow ‘sick day’ advice from your prescriber if you become unwell. Always follow your prescriber’s instructions (BNF).
