    Description

Nurofen Pain Relief Max Strength 512mg Tablets – 24 Tablets

Nurofen Pain Relief Max Strength 512mg Tablets contain ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve mild to moderate pain, reduce fever, and ease inflammation. They are suitable for adults and children aged 12 and over for conditions such as headaches, dental pain, period pain, backache, muscular pain, and the symptoms of cold and flu.

    How It Works

Ibuprofen works by blocking the production of chemicals in the body called prostaglandins, which are responsible for causing pain, swelling, and fever. By reducing the levels of these chemicals, ibuprofen helps to relieve discomfort and lower raised temperatures. It belongs to a group of medicines known as NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs).

    Directions for Use

Adults and children aged 12 years and over: Take 1 tablet (512mg ibuprofen) up to 3 times a day as needed. Leave at least 4 hours between doses. Do not take more than 3 tablets (1,536mg ibuprofen) in any 24-hour period. Swallow tablets whole with a full glass of water. It is best taken with or after food to reduce the chance of stomach upset. Do not use for more than 3 days for fever or more than 10 days for pain without seeking medical advice. This medicine is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Ibuprofen is not recommended during pregnancy, particularly from 20 weeks onwards, as it may harm the unborn baby. It should be avoided in the third trimester (after 28 weeks) unless specifically advised by a doctor. Ibuprofen passes into breast milk in small amounts; it is generally considered suitable during breastfeeding at recommended doses, but you should confirm this with a healthcare professional. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
