Loratadine 10mg Hayfever & Allergy Relief tablets are used to relieve the symptoms of hay fever and other allergic conditions, including sneezing, itchy and watery eyes, runny nose, itchy skin, and hives. Each pack contains 90 tablets, making it a convenient choice for long-term or seasonal allergy management.

How It Works

Loratadine is a non-drowsy antihistamine that works by blocking histamine receptors in the body. Histamine is a natural chemical released during an allergic reaction that causes symptoms such as itching, sneezing, and a runny nose. By blocking histamine, loratadine helps to reduce and relieve these symptoms. It starts to work within one hour and provides up to 24 hours of relief from a single dose.

Directions for Use

Adults and children aged 12 years and over: take one 10mg tablet once daily. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not take more than one tablet in 24 hours. This medicine is not recommended for children under 12 years of age without medical advice. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. Interactions

Loratadine may interact with certain medicines, including cimetidine (used for indigestion), erythromycin (an antibiotic), and ketoconazole (an antifungal). These medicines may increase the level of loratadine in your blood. Some medicines used to treat anxiety, depression, or epilepsy may also interact with loratadine. Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Loratadine is not recommended during pregnancy unless clearly necessary, as there is limited evidence on its safety. It passes into breast milk in small amounts, so use during breastfeeding is generally not advised. Alcohol

Although loratadine is classed as a non-drowsy antihistamine, combining it with alcohol may increase the risk of drowsiness. It is advisable to avoid or limit alcohol consumption while taking this medicine.

Driving and Operating Machinery

Loratadine is a non-drowsy antihistamine and is unlikely to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery for most people. However, a small number of people may still experience drowsiness or dizziness. Do not drive or use machinery if you notice any of these effects.

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
