Imodium Dual Action Relief Tablets are used to relieve the symptoms of acute diarrhoea, including the cramping and discomfort that can accompany it. They are suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over.

How It Works

These tablets contain two active ingredients that work together to tackle diarrhoea from two angles. Loperamide hydrochloride slows down the movement of the bowel, helping stools to become firmer and reducing how often you need to go to the toilet. Simeticone helps to relieve the bloating, wind, and cramping that often accompany diarrhoea by breaking up trapped gas bubbles in the gut.

Directions for Use

Adults and children aged 12 years and over: Take 2 tablets after the first loose stool, then 1 tablet after each further loose stool. Do not take more than 4 tablets in 24 hours. Swallow the tablets whole with water. Do not use for more than 48 hours without seeking medical advice. This product is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Who Should Not Use This Product

• Children under 12 years of age
• People who are allergic to loperamide hydrochloride, simeticone, or any other ingredient in the tablets
• Those with a condition where slowing the bowel could be harmful (e.g. acute ulcerative colitis or bacterial infection with blood in stools)
• People with a bloated abdomen or signs of bowel obstruction
• Anyone with severe liver disease
• Those experiencing diarrhoea alongside a high fever or blood in their stools — seek medical advice instead

Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
