Fybogel Orange Natural Fibre Drink is a high-fibre supplement used to relieve constipation and help maintain regularity. Each sachet contains ispaghula husk, a natural plant fibre that gently supports your digestive system.

How It Works

Ispaghula husk absorbs water in your gut, swelling to form a soft, bulky mass that stimulates the bowel to move. This gentle, natural action softens stools and makes them easier to pass, typically producing a bowel movement within 12 to 72 hours of taking the first dose.

Directions for Use

Adults and children aged 12 and over should dissolve the contents of one sachet in 150 ml (a full glass) of cold or warm water, stir well, and drink immediately — twice daily, preferably after meals. Children aged 6 to 11 years: seek medical advice before use. Do not take immediately before going to bed. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. Possible Side Effects

• Bloating or flatulence (wind), especially in the first few days of use

Who Should Not Take This Medicine

• People with difficulty swallowing or throat problems
• Those with a sudden change in bowel habit lasting more than two weeks without consulting a doctor
• Anyone with intestinal obstruction, faecal impaction, or sudden abdominal pain
• People who are unable to drink adequate amounts of fluid
• Those with hypersensitivity (allergy) to ispaghula husk or any other ingredient in the product
• Children under 6 years of age

Interactions

Ispaghula husk may reduce the absorption of some medicines, including certain heart medications such as digoxin, carbamazepine, and lithium. It is advisable to take other medicines at least 30 to 60 minutes before taking Fybogel to avoid any reduction in their effectiveness. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Fybogel is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as ispaghula husk is not absorbed into the bloodstream and works locally in the gut. Alcohol

There is no known interaction between Fybogel Orange and alcohol. However, staying well hydrated with water is important when taking this medicine, so limiting alcohol — which can cause dehydration — is advisable for best results.

Fybogel Orange is not known to cause drowsiness or to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. You can continue your normal activities while taking this medicine.

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the sachets in the original packaging to protect them from humidity. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
