Fixodent Neutral Denture Adhesive is a cream designed to help keep your dentures firmly in place throughout the day. It is suitable for people who wear full or partial dentures and prefer a neutral, unflavoured adhesive that won’t interfere with the taste of food and drink.

How It Works

When applied to your dentures, the adhesive cream forms a strong, cushioning seal between the denture and your gum. This helps to hold the denture securely in position, reducing movement and creating a barrier that minimises food particles getting trapped underneath. The neutral formula contains no added flavour, making it ideal for those who are sensitive to taste.

Directions for Use

Ensure your dentures are clean and dry before applying. Apply small dots or strips of adhesive cream to the fitting surface of the denture — do not apply too close to the edges. Press the denture firmly into place and hold for a few seconds. Use the smallest amount needed to achieve a secure fit, and do not use more than once a day. To remove dentures, rinse your mouth with warm water to help loosen the adhesive before gently removing. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. Active Ingredients

• Calcium sodium zinc mixed salt of a carboxymethylcellulose/vinyl methyl ether maleic acid copolymer (the main adhesive polymer blend)
• Petrolatum (white soft paraffin) — as excipient/carrier base

Possible Side Effects

Fixodent Neutral is generally well tolerated when used as directed. However, some people may experience:
• Mild gum or mouth irritation
• Allergic reaction in individuals sensitive to any of the ingredients
• Oral discomfort if used in excessive amounts
• In rare cases, prolonged excessive use of zinc-containing denture adhesives has been associated with increased zinc levels in the body — always use the minimum amount needed

Who Should Not Take This Medicine

• People who are allergic to any of the ingredients in Fixodent Neutral
• This product should not be used on ill-fitting dentures — if your dentures no longer fit well, consult your dentist

Interactions

Fixodent Neutral is a topically applied dental adhesive and is not expected to interact with medicines or food when used as directed. Excessive or prolonged use should be avoided, particularly in those with conditions affecting zinc metabolism. Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Once opened, replace the cap firmly after each use to prevent the product from drying out. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
