    Description

    Canesten Thrush Combi Internal 10% & External 2% Cream 1 Pack 1 X

Canesten Thrush Combi is a combined treatment for vaginal thrush (candidiasis) in women aged 16 and over. It contains two creams — an internal cream to treat the infection inside the vagina and an external cream to relieve itching, soreness, and redness around the outside.

    How It Works

Both creams contain clotrimazole, an antifungal medicine. Clotrimazole works by damaging the cell membranes of the Candida fungus that causes thrush, which stops the fungus from growing and kills it. The external cream also helps to soothe uncomfortable symptoms around the vaginal area.

    Directions for Use

This product is for women aged 16 and over only. The internal cream (10%) should be inserted into the vagina as a single dose using the applicator provided — this is best done at bedtime. The external cream (2%) should be applied to the skin around the outside of the vagina two or three times a day, and can be used for up to 7 days to relieve external symptoms. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.

    Active Ingredients

    • Internal cream: Clotrimazole 10% w/w
    • External cream: Clotrimazole 2% w/w

    Possible Side Effects

    • Mild burning or stinging sensation after applying the cream

    • Skin redness or rash at the site of application
    • Peeling or flaking of the skin around the treated area

If you experience any unexpected side effects, stop using this product and speak to your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor.
