    Benadryl 10mg One a Day – 30 Tablets

Benadryl Allergy One A Day tablets contain cetirizine hydrochloride, a non-drowsy antihistamine used to relieve the symptoms of hay fever and other allergies. Just one tablet a day helps to ease sneezing, a runny or blocked nose, itchy eyes, and skin reactions caused by allergens such as pollen, pet hair, or dust mites.

    How It Works

Cetirizine hydrochloride works by blocking histamine receptors in the body. Histamine is the chemical your immune system releases when it detects an allergen, and it is responsible for causing classic allergy symptoms such as itching, sneezing, and watering eyes. By blocking histamine, cetirizine helps to reduce and prevent these symptoms throughout the day.

    Directions for Use

Adults and children aged 12 years and over should take one 10mg tablet once daily, swallowed whole with water. This medicine is not recommended for children under 12 years of age in this tablet form. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

    Active Ingredients

    • Cetirizine hydrochloride 10mg per tablet

    Possible Side Effects

    • Headache
    • Dry mouth
    • Drowsiness or tiredness (although less common than with older antihistamines)
    • Dizziness
    • Nausea or stomach discomfort
    • Skin reactions such as itching or rash (rare)

If you experience any serious side effects, stop taking this medicine and seek medical advice immediately.

Who Should Not Take This Medicine

    • People who are allergic to cetirizine hydrochloride, hydroxyzine, or any other ingredient in the tablet
    • Children under 12 years of age
    • People with severe kidney problems (unless advised by a doctor)
    • People with rare hereditary conditions such as galactose intolerance or glucose-galactose malabsorption

    Interactions

Cetirizine is unlikely to interact with most common medicines, but caution is advised when taken alongside other medicines that cause drowsiness, such as sleeping tablets, anxiety medicines, or certain antidepressants. Theophylline (used for asthma) may also slightly increase the effects of cetirizine. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

The safety of cetirizine during pregnancy has not been fully established, and it is not recommended during pregnancy unless considered essential by a doctor. Cetirizine passes into breast milk and should be avoided while breastfeeding. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

Although cetirizine is considered non-drowsy at standard doses, drinking alcohol while taking this medicine may increase the risk of drowsiness or dizziness. It is advisable to avoid or limit alcohol consumption while taking Benadryl One A Day tablets.

    Driving and Operating Machinery

Benadryl One A Day is classified as a non-drowsy antihistamine; however, some people may still experience drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. If you are affected in this way, you should not drive or operate heavy machinery. It is recommended to see how this medicine affects you before driving.

    Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
