Description
Aspirin 300mg Dispersible Tablets
Aspirin 300mg Dispersible Tablets provide effective relief from pain, fever, and inflammation. These convenient dispersible tablets dissolve quickly in water, making them easy to take and fast-acting. Aspirin is one of the most trusted pain relievers available, offering reliable treatment for headaches, toothache, period pain, muscular aches, and symptoms of colds and flu. The dispersible formulation allows for rapid absorption, helping you get back to feeling your best more quickly.
How It Works
Aspirin belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works by blocking the production of certain chemicals in the body called prostaglandins, which are responsible for causing pain, inflammation, and fever. By reducing prostaglandin production, aspirin effectively relieves pain and reduces inflammation and temperature. The dispersible formulation allows the medication to be absorbed more quickly than standard tablets, providing faster relief from symptoms.
Directions for Use
Dissolve one or two tablets in at least half a glass of water and drink immediately. Take with or after food to reduce the risk of stomach irritation.
Adults and children over 16 years: 1-2 tablets every 4 hours as needed. Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours.
Children 12-15 years: 1 tablet every 4 hours as needed. Do not give more than 4 tablets in 24 hours.
Do not give to children under 12 years of age. Do not take for more than 3 days without consulting your pharmacist or doctor. If symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical advice.
Active Ingredients
Each dispersible tablet contains 300mg of aspirin.
Possible Side Effects
Like all medicines, aspirin can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. Common side effects may include:

Less common but more serious side effects may include stomach ulcers or bleeding, ringing in the ears (tinnitus), or allergic reactions. Stop taking the medicine and seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe stomach pain, black or bloody stools, vomiting blood, severe allergic reactions, or unusual bleeding.

Interactions
Aspirin can interact with several other medicines, including warfarin and other anticoagulants, other NSAIDs, methotrexate, diabetes medications, and some blood pressure medicines. Always tell your PillSorted pharmacist about all medicines you are taking, including prescription medicines, over-the-counter treatments, and herbal supplements, to ensure this medicine is safe for you to take.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Do not take aspirin during the last 3 months of pregnancy as it may harm your unborn baby and cause complications during delivery. If you are in the first 6 months of pregnancy or are breastfeeding, consult your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor before taking this medicine. Aspirin passes into breast milk in small amounts but is generally considered safe during breastfeeding when used occasionally at normal doses.
Alcohol
Avoid drinking alcohol while taking aspirin, as this can increase the risk of stomach irritation and bleeding. If you do choose to drink alcohol, limit your intake and always take aspirin with food to reduce the risk of stomach problems.
Driving and Operating Machinery
Aspirin is unlikely to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery when taken at recommended doses. However, if you feel dizzy or unwell after taking this medicine, do not drive or use machines until you feel better.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging. Do not store in the bathroom or near a sink. Once opened, use within the time specified on the packaging.
