    Abidec Multivitamin Drops – 25ml

Abidec Multivitamin Drops are a daily vitamin supplement designed to support the healthy growth and development of babies and young children. They provide seven essential vitamins to help prevent nutritional deficiencies during key stages of childhood.

    How It Works

Each dose delivers a carefully balanced combination of vitamins — including A, C, D, and B-group vitamins — that work together to support normal immune function, bone development, and energy release from food. Because young children’s diets may not always provide sufficient quantities of these vitamins, a daily supplement helps to fill any nutritional gaps and support overall development.

    Directions for Use

The drops are given orally using the syringe provided. Recommended daily doses are as follows:
    • Babies from birth to 1 year: 0.6 ml per day
    • Children aged 1 year and over: 1.2 ml per day
The drops can be given directly into the mouth or mixed with a small amount of food or drink. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

    Active Ingredients

Per 1.2 ml dose (full daily dose for children 1 year and over):
    • Vitamin A (retinol) 1333 IU (400 micrograms)
    • Vitamin D (colecalciferol) 400 IU (10 micrograms)
    • Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) 40 mg
    • Thiamine (Vitamin B1) 1 mg
    • Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) 0.4 mg
    • Nicotinamide (Vitamin B3) 5 mg
    • Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) 0.5 mg

    Possible Side Effects

Abidec Multivitamin Drops are generally well tolerated when used as directed. Possible side effects may include:
    • Mild stomach upset or nausea
    • Diarrhoea if taken in excess of the recommended dose
    • Allergic reactions such as skin rash (rare)
Excessive intake of fat-soluble vitamins such as Vitamin A and Vitamin D over a prolonged period may cause toxicity — always stick to the recommended dose. If you experience any serious side effects, stop taking this medicine and seek medical advice immediately.

Who Should Not Take This Medicine

    • Children with a known allergy to any of the ingredients in this product
    • Children who are already taking another multivitamin supplement containing Vitamin A or D, unless advised by a doctor
    • Not intended for adult use
    • Do not use if your child has been diagnosed with hypervitaminosis A or D (excess vitamin A or D)

    Interactions

Vitamin A may interact with retinoid medications (such as isotretinoin), and Vitamin D supplements may interact with certain heart or calcium medications. Avoid giving alongside other products containing the same vitamins to prevent exceeding recommended daily intakes. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Abidec Multivitamin Drops are formulated for infants and young children and are not intended for use by pregnant or breastfeeding women. Pregnant women should seek specific advice about appropriate vitamin supplementation, particularly regarding Vitamin A, which can be harmful in high doses during pregnancy. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

Abidec Multivitamin Drops are a children’s supplement, and alcohol is not relevant to their use. This product does not interact with alcohol, and it should not be mixed with alcoholic drinks.

Abidec Multivitamin Drops do not contain any ingredients known to cause drowsiness or affect the ability to drive or operate machinery. This product is intended for use in infants and young children, so driving considerations are not applicable.
