How It Works
Dandruff is often caused by an overgrowth of a naturally occurring fungus on the scalp called Malassezia. Ketoconazole works by disrupting the outer membrane of this fungus, stopping it from growing and spreading. This helps to reduce flaking, itching, and scalp irritation.
⸻
Directions for Use
For treating dandruff, wet your hair and apply the shampoo to the scalp. Lather, leave for 3–5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Use twice a week for 2–4 weeks. For preventing dandruff, use once every 1–2 weeks. This product is suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.
⸻

There is no known interaction between Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo and alcohol. As this product is applied topically to the scalp and not ingested, alcohol consumption does not affect how it works.
