    Description

    Viagra Connect 50mg – 2 Tablets

Viagra Connect contains sildenafil 50mg, a medicine used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men aged 18 and over. It helps you achieve and maintain an erection when you are sexually aroused.

    How It Works

Sildenafil belongs to a group of medicines called PDE5 inhibitors. It works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis, allowing more blood to flow in when you are sexually stimulated. This makes it easier to get and keep an erection. It will not cause an erection on its own — sexual arousal is still needed.

    Directions for Use

Take one 50mg tablet approximately one hour before sexual activity. You can take it between 30 minutes and 4 hours before sex. Only take one tablet in any 24-hour period. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

    Active Ingredients

    • Sildenafil citrate 50mg (equivalent to sildenafil 50mg) per tablet

    Possible Side Effects

    • Headache
    • Flushing (redness or warmth in the face, neck, or chest)
    • Indigestion or stomach upset
    • Nasal congestion (blocked or runny nose)
    • Dizziness
    • Changes in vision (such as blurred vision or altered colour perception)
    • Nausea

If you experience any serious side effects, stop taking this medicine and seek medical advice immediately.

Who Should Not Take This Medicine

    • Men who take nitrates (e.g. glyceryl trinitrate) for chest pain or heart conditions
    • Men who take riociguat or other soluble guanylate cyclase stimulators
    • Anyone with a known allergy to sildenafil or any of the other ingredients
    • Men with severe liver or kidney problems
    • Men who have recently had a stroke or heart attack
    • Men with low blood pressure (hypotension)
    • Men who have been told by a doctor to avoid sexual activity due to heart problems
    • Men under 18 years of age

    Interactions

Sildenafil can interact with several medicines, including nitrates (used for chest pain), alpha-blockers (used for high blood pressure or prostate problems), HIV protease inhibitors, antifungal medicines such as ketoconazole or itraconazole, and certain antibiotics such as erythromycin. Grapefruit juice may also increase the levels of sildenafil in your blood and should be avoided. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Viagra Connect is intended for use in adult men only and is not indicated for use in women. It is not applicable during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

Drinking alcohol whilst taking sildenafil can increase the risk of side effects such as dizziness, headache, and low blood pressure. It is advisable to avoid drinking large amounts of alcohol before or after taking Viagra Connect, as this may also make it harder to achieve an erection.

    Driving and Operating Machinery

Sildenafil can occasionally cause dizziness or affect your vision, which may impair your ability to drive or operate machinery safely. If you experience these effects after taking Viagra Connect, do not drive or use machinery until you feel well again.

    Storage

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the tablets in their original packaging. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
