Surgical Spirit 200ml (Brand May Vary)

Surgical Spirit is a traditional antiseptic and disinfectant solution used for cleansing and hardening the skin. This versatile product is commonly used to clean minor cuts and grazes, prepare the skin before injections or minor procedures, and help prevent infection. The solution also helps to harden and toughen areas of skin that are prone to pressure or friction, making it particularly useful for athletes and those who spend long periods on their feet.

    How It Works

Surgical Spirit contains methyl salicylate and diethyl phthalate in an alcohol base. The alcohol component provides antiseptic properties by killing bacteria and other microorganisms on the skin’s surface. Methyl salicylate has mild analgesic (pain-relieving) properties and helps to improve circulation to the treated area. Diethyl phthalate acts as a solvent and helps the active ingredients penetrate the skin. Together, these ingredients cleanse the skin, reduce the risk of infection, and help to toughen areas that may be subject to repeated pressure or friction.

    Directions for Use

For external use only. Apply Surgical Spirit to a clean cotton wool pad or cloth and gently dab onto the affected area of skin. For cleansing minor cuts and grazes, clean the area thoroughly and allow to dry. For skin hardening, apply once or twice daily to clean, dry skin. Do not use on broken or severely damaged skin, open wounds, or mucous membranes. Avoid contact with eyes. Allow the solution to dry completely before covering with clothing or dressings. Wash your hands thoroughly after use.
