Description
Sudafed Sinus Max Strength – 16 Capsules
Sudafed Sinus Max Strength Capsules provide fast, effective relief from the uncomfortable symptoms of sinusitis, including blocked nasal passages, sinus headaches, fever, and general aches and pains. Each capsule contains a combination of three active ingredients working together to tackle multiple symptoms at once.
⸻
How It Works
Paracetamol acts as a painkiller to relieve headaches and sinus pain, and helps to reduce fever. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that narrows the blood vessels in the nasal passages, reducing swelling and helping you breathe more freely. Caffeine is a mild stimulant that helps to combat fatigue and also enhances the pain-relieving effect of paracetamol.
⸻
Directions for Use
Adults and young people aged 12 years and over: take 2 capsules up to 4 times a day. Leave at least 4 hours between doses and do not take more than 8 capsules in any 24-hour period. Swallow the capsules whole with plenty of water. Do not use for more than 5 days without speaking to a doctor. This medicine is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

⸻
Interactions
This medicine may interact with antidepressants (particularly MAOIs and tricyclic antidepressants), other decongestants or cold and flu remedies containing paracetamol or phenylephrine, blood pressure medications, beta-blockers, and medicines used to treat heart conditions. Taking other products containing paracetamol at the same time could lead to an overdose, even if those products seem different. Caffeine may also interact with certain stimulant medications. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.
⸻
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Sudafed Sinus Max Strength Capsules are not recommended during pregnancy, as phenylephrine may affect blood flow to the placenta, and the safety of caffeine at this dose has not been fully established. The product is also not recommended while breastfeeding, as both phenylephrine and caffeine can pass into breast milk. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
⸻
Alcohol
You should avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine. Alcohol can increase the risk of liver damage when taken alongside paracetamol, and can also worsen certain side effects such as dizziness. If you regularly drink large amounts of alcohol, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist before taking this product.
⸻
Driving and Operating Machinery
Sudafed Sinus Max Strength Capsules do not generally cause drowsiness and are not expected to significantly impair your ability to drive or operate machinery. However, some people may experience dizziness or other side effects that could affect alertness. If you feel affected in any way, do not drive or use machinery.
