    Description

Sudafed Decongestant Non Drowsy – 12 Tablets

Sudafed Decongestant Non Drowsy tablets are a non-drowsy nasal decongestant used to relieve blocked and stuffy noses caused by colds, flu, hay fever, sinusitis, and other upper respiratory conditions. Each tablet contains pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, a well-established decongestant active ingredient.

    How It Works

Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride works by narrowing the blood vessels in the lining of your nose. This reduces swelling and congestion, making it easier to breathe and helping to relieve pressure felt in your nose and forehead.

    Directions for Use

Adults and children aged 12 years and over: take 1 tablet up to 4 times a day. Leave at least 4–6 hours between doses. Do not take more than 4 tablets in 24 hours. Swallow the tablet whole with a drink of water. This medicine is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

    Interactions

Pseudoephedrine can interact with several medicines, including monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), antidepressants (particularly tricyclics and SNRIs), antihypertensive medicines (blood pressure treatments), other decongestants, and stimulant medicines. Taking pseudoephedrine alongside these medicines can increase the risk of serious side effects such as dangerously high blood pressure. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Pseudoephedrine is generally not recommended during pregnancy, as it may affect blood flow and could potentially impact the developing baby. It can pass into breast milk in small amounts and may cause irritability in breastfed infants. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

There is no specific interaction between pseudoephedrine and alcohol; however, alcohol may worsen some side effects such as dizziness or an increased heart rate. It is generally advisable to limit alcohol intake while you are unwell or taking any medicine.

    Driving and Operating Machinery

Sudafed Decongestant Non Drowsy tablets are formulated to be non-drowsy and are unlikely to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. However, some people may experience dizziness or restlessness. If you notice any effects that could impair your reactions, do not drive or operate machinery.
