    Description

    SolpaOne 1000mg Effervescent Tablets – 12 Tablets

SolpaOne 1000mg Effervescent Tablets contain paracetamol, a widely used painkiller and fever reducer. They are used to relieve mild to moderate pain such as headaches, migraine, toothache, back pain, period pain, and to reduce high temperature (fever).

    How It Works

Paracetamol works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the brain called prostaglandins, which are responsible for sending pain signals and raising body temperature. By reducing these signals, paracetamol helps to relieve pain and bring down a fever. The effervescent formulation dissolves in water, allowing the medicine to be absorbed quickly into the body.

    Directions for Use

Adults and young people aged 16 and over: dissolve one tablet in a glass of water and drink immediately. This dose may be repeated every 4 to 6 hours if needed, but do not take more than 4 tablets in any 24-hour period. Do not use more than one paracetamol-containing product at the same time. This product is not suitable for children under 16 years of age. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

    Active Ingredients

    • Paracetamol 1000mg per tablet

    Possible Side Effects

SolpaOne is generally well tolerated when taken as directed. Side effects are uncommon but may include:
    • Allergic reactions such as skin rash or itching
    • Redness or swelling of the skin
    • Low blood pressure (rare, especially if given by injection — not relevant to this oral form)
    • Liver or kidney problems with prolonged overuse
    • Blood disorders (very rare, with long-term use)

If you experience any serious side effects, stop taking this medicine and seek medical advice immediately.

Who Should Not Take This Medicine

Do not take SolpaOne 1000mg Effervescent Tablets if you:
    • Are allergic to paracetamol or any other ingredient in the tablets
    • Have severe liver problems or active liver disease
    • Have severe kidney problems
    • Already take other medicines containing paracetamol
    • Are under 16 years of age
    • Have phenylketonuria (these tablets may contain aspartame — check the leaflet)
    • Are on a low-sodium diet (these effervescent tablets contain sodium)

    Interactions

Paracetamol can interact with several medicines, including warfarin and other anticoagulants (blood-thinning medicines), which may increase the risk of bleeding if paracetamol is taken regularly. Some medicines used to treat epilepsy (such as phenytoin, carbamazepine, and phenobarbital) and tuberculosis (such as rifampicin) may affect how paracetamol is processed in the body. Metoclopramide and domperidone (used for nausea) may speed up paracetamol absorption. Always check other products you are taking — many over-the-counter cold and flu remedies also contain paracetamol. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Paracetamol is generally considered the preferred painkiller during pregnancy and while breastfeeding when used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible time. However, you should always use it with caution and only when necessary. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

You should avoid or limit alcohol while taking paracetamol, particularly if you are a regular or heavy drinker. Drinking alcohol regularly alongside paracetamol increases the risk of liver damage. Occasional, moderate alcohol consumption is unlikely to cause problems when paracetamol is taken as directed.

    Driving and Operating Machinery

SolpaOne 1000mg Effervescent Tablets are not expected to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. Paracetamol does not cause drowsiness. However, if you feel unwell due to the condition being treated, use your own judgement about whether it is safe to drive.

    Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the tablets in their original packaging to protect them from humidity. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
