Savlon Antiseptic Cream is a topical antiseptic used to cleanse and help prevent infection in minor cuts, grazes, blisters, minor burns, and insect bites. It can also be used to soothe and protect sore, cracked, or chapped skin.

How It Works

Savlon Antiseptic Cream contains two active ingredients — chlorhexidine gluconate and cetrimide — which work together to kill bacteria and other germs on the skin. Chlorhexidine disrupts the outer membrane of bacteria, while cetrimide acts as a detergent to help cleanse the wound area, reducing the risk of infection.

Directions for Use

Clean the affected area gently, then apply a small amount of Savlon Antiseptic Cream directly to the skin. The cream can be applied up to three times daily, or as needed. It is suitable for adults and children. For children under 2 years of age, seek medical advice before use. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.

Possible Side Effects

• Skin irritation or redness at the site of application
• Mild burning or stinging sensation

Who Should Not Use This Product

• Do not use on children under 2 years without medical advice

Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the tube tightly closed when not in use. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
