Rennie Deflatine Chewable Tablets are used to relieve the discomfort of indigestion, heartburn, and trapped wind (flatulence). They are suitable for adults and children aged 12 and over.

How It Works

Rennie Deflatine contains two antacids — calcium carbonate and heavy magnesium carbonate — which work by neutralising excess stomach acid to relieve heartburn and indigestion. It also contains simeticone, an anti-foaming agent that helps break up trapped gas bubbles in the stomach and gut, reducing bloating and the discomfort of trapped wind.

Directions for Use

Adults and children aged 12 and over: chew or suck 2 tablets as needed, up to 4 times a day. Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours. Tablets may be taken after meals and at bedtime. Do not take continuously for more than 2 weeks without speaking to your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.

Possible Side Effects

Rennie Deflatine is generally well tolerated, but some people may experience:
• Constipation
• Diarrhoea
• Nausea
• Changes in bowel habits

Who Should Not Use This Product

• Children under 12 years of age
• People with known hypersensitivity (allergy) to any of the ingredients
• People with severely reduced kidney function (renal impairment)
• People with high blood calcium levels (hypercalcaemia) or high blood magnesium levels (hypermagnesaemia)
• People on a calcium-restricted diet without medical advice
• People taking certain prescription medicines — check with your PillSorted pharmacist before use

Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
