    Description

    Pyrocalm Control Omeprazole 20mg – 7 Tablets

Pyrocalm Control Omeprazole 20mg Tablets contain omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to relieve the symptoms of reflux-related heartburn and acid regurgitation in adults aged 18 and over. This is a short-term, over-the-counter treatment for frequent heartburn occurring two or more days per week.

    How It Works

Omeprazole works by blocking the “proton pumps” in the lining of your stomach — these are the tiny mechanisms responsible for producing stomach acid. By reducing the amount of acid your stomach makes, omeprazole helps to relieve the burning sensation and discomfort associated with heartburn and acid reflux.

    Directions for Use

Adults aged 18 and over should take one 20mg tablet once daily, swallowed whole with half a glass of water — do not crush or chew the tablet. The tablet should ideally be taken before eating. This medicine is intended for short-term use; if your symptoms do not improve after 14 days of continuous use, stop taking the tablets and consult your doctor. Do not take more than one tablet per day. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

There is no specific interaction between omeprazole and alcohol; however, alcohol can worsen heartburn and acid reflux symptoms. It is advisable to limit alcohol consumption while experiencing symptoms and during treatment with this medicine.
