    Description

Nurofen Meltets Lemon Orodispersible – 12 Tablets

Nurofen Meltets Lemon Orodispersible are ibuprofen tablets that dissolve on your tongue without the need for water, making them ideal for fast, convenient pain relief. They are used to relieve mild to moderate pain, including headaches, migraine, toothache, period pain, backache, rheumatic and muscle pain, as well as to reduce fever.

    How It Works

Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works by blocking the production of prostaglandins — chemicals in the body that cause pain, swelling, and fever. By reducing prostaglandin levels, ibuprofen helps to relieve pain and bring down high temperatures.

    Directions for Use

Adults and young people aged 12 years and over: Place one tablet on the tongue and allow it to dissolve. The recommended dose is 1–2 tablets (200–400 mg ibuprofen) up to three times a day as needed. Leave at least 4 hours between doses. Do not take more than 6 tablets (1200 mg) in 24 hours. These tablets are not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

    Interactions

Ibuprofen may interact with a number of medicines, including blood thinners (e.g. warfarin), aspirin, other NSAIDs, certain antidepressants (SSRIs), blood pressure medicines, diuretics, steroids, and lithium. Taking ibuprofen alongside these medicines may increase the risk of side effects or reduce their effectiveness. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Ibuprofen should be avoided during the third trimester of pregnancy (28 weeks onwards) as it may harm the unborn baby. Use during the first and second trimesters should only be considered on the advice of a doctor. Ibuprofen passes into breast milk in small amounts; while short-term use at low doses is generally considered low risk, caution is advised. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

Drinking alcohol whilst taking ibuprofen may increase the risk of stomach irritation and gastrointestinal bleeding. It is advisable to avoid or limit alcohol consumption while taking this medicine.
