Numark Vapour Rub is a topical rub used to relieve the symptoms of colds, including nasal congestion, a blocked nose, and coughs. It is applied directly to the chest, throat, or back to help ease discomfort and aid easier breathing.

How It Works

The active ingredients in Numark Vapour Rub — including eucalyptus oil, menthol, and camphor — release soothing vapours when applied to the skin. These vapours are inhaled and help to clear blocked airways, reduce the feeling of congestion, and calm irritated passages in the nose and throat, making it easier to breathe and reducing the urge to cough.

Directions for Use

For adults and children aged 2 years and over, apply a thin layer of the rub to the chest, throat, or back up to three times daily. Do not apply to broken, irritated, or sensitive skin, and keep away from the eyes, mouth, and nostrils. Do not use under tight bandages or coverings. Possible Side Effects

Who Should Not Take This Medicine

• Children under 2 years of age
• Anyone with a known allergy to eucalyptus oil, menthol, camphor, turpentine oil, or any other ingredient in this product
• Do not apply to broken, damaged, or inflamed skin
• Do not apply near the face of infants or young children, as inhalation of strong vapours can cause breathing difficulties
• Do not use internally or swallow

Numark Vapour Rub is a topical product and is not generally associated with significant interactions with other medicines. However, avoid using alongside other topical skin preparations on the same area. Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct heat or sunlight. Keep the lid firmly closed when not in use. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
