    NiQuitin Minis 1.5mg – 60 Mint Lozenges

NiQuitin Minis 1.5mg Mint Lozenges are a nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) product designed to help adults stop smoking. Each small, mint-flavoured lozenge delivers a controlled dose of nicotine to help reduce cigarette cravings and ease the withdrawal symptoms that can make quitting difficult.

    How It Works

Each lozenge contains 1.5mg of nicotine, which is slowly released as the lozenge dissolves in your mouth. This nicotine is absorbed through the lining of the mouth, helping to satisfy the body’s craving for nicotine without the harmful toxins found in cigarette smoke. By gradually reducing your nicotine intake, NiQuitin Minis support you through the process of quitting smoking.

    Directions for Use

NiQuitin Minis 1.5mg lozenges are intended for adults aged 18 and over who smoke fewer than 20 cigarettes a day (light to moderate smokers). Place one lozenge in your mouth and allow it to dissolve slowly — do not chew or swallow it whole. Use one lozenge every 1–2 hours when you feel the urge to smoke, up to a maximum of 15 lozenges per day. The full programme typically runs for 12 weeks, gradually reducing the number of lozenges used over time. These lozenges are not recommended for use in those under 18 years of age. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

Who Should Not Take This Medicine

    • Children and young people under 18 years of age
    • People with a known allergy to nicotine or any other ingredient in the lozenge
    • Non-smokers
    • People who have recently had a heart attack, stroke, or severe irregular heartbeat (unless advised by a doctor)
    • People with phenylketonuria (PKU), as the lozenges contain aspartame
    • People with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance (refer to the patient information leaflet for full details)

    Interactions

Nicotine replacement therapy is generally not known to interact significantly with most common medicines. However, stopping smoking (with or without NRT) can affect the levels of certain medicines in your body, such as theophylline, clozapine, and some antidepressants — your dose of these medicines may need to be adjusted. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

The safest option during pregnancy and breastfeeding is to stop smoking without using NRT. However, if you are struggling to quit, using NRT is considered much safer than continuing to smoke. Intermittent NRT products such as lozenges are preferred over patches during pregnancy, as they deliver nicotine only when used. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

There are no known significant interactions between NiQuitin Minis lozenges and alcohol. However, drinking alcohol during your quit attempt may lower your willpower and make it harder to resist the urge to smoke, so moderation is advisable.

    Driving and Operating Machinery

NiQuitin Minis lozenges are not expected to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. However, if you experience dizziness as a side effect, you should avoid driving or operating machinery until you feel well again.

    Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
