Nexium Control 20mg Gastro-resistant Capsules contain esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to relieve the symptoms of reflux such as heartburn and acid regurgitation in adults. This pack of 14 capsules provides a short-term course of treatment for frequent heartburn symptoms.

How It Works
Esomeprazole works by blocking the “proton pumps” in the lining of your stomach — these are the tiny cells responsible for producing stomach acid. By reducing the amount of acid your stomach makes, esomeprazole helps to relieve the burning sensation and discomfort caused by acid reflux and heartburn.

Directions for Use
Adults aged 18 years and over should take one 20mg capsule by mouth once daily, every day for up to 14 days. Swallow the capsule whole with water — do not crush or chew it. It can be taken with or without food. If your symptoms do not improve after 14 days of treatment, stop taking the capsules and speak to your doctor. Do not take for more than 14 days without medical advice. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.

Who Should Not Use This Product
• Children and young people under 18 years of age
• Anyone who is allergic to esomeprazole, other proton pump inhibitors, or any of the other ingredients in the capsule
• People taking medicines containing nelfinavir (used to treat HIV infection)
• Anyone who has been advised by their doctor not to take esomeprazole or similar medicines
• People who have difficulty swallowing or have unexplained weight loss, persistent vomiting, or blood in their vomit — seek medical advice first
• Pregnant or breastfeeding women — consult your doctor or your PillSorted pharmacist before use

Storage
Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep in the original blister packaging until ready to use. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
