Metanium Nappy Rash Ointment is a medicated ointment used to treat and prevent nappy rash in babies and infants. It helps to soothe sore, red, and irritated skin in the nappy area, providing a protective barrier with each application.

How It Works

Metanium contains titanium dioxide, titanium peroxide, and titanium salicylate as its active ingredients. These work together to create a protective barrier on the skin, shielding it from moisture, urine, and faeces that cause nappy rash. The titanium compounds also have mild astringent and antiseptic properties, helping to reduce redness and inflammation while allowing the skin to heal.

Directions for Use

Apply a thin layer of Metanium Nappy Rash Ointment to the clean, dry nappy area at each nappy change. Gently clean the affected area before each application. Who Should Not Take This Medicine

• Do not use if your baby is known to be allergic to any of the ingredients in Metanium Nappy Rash Ointment
• Do not use on broken, infected, or weeping skin without first seeking medical advice
• Do not use if a fungal or bacterial skin infection is suspected — consult a doctor for appropriate treatment
• Do not use in or around the eyes

Metanium Nappy Rash Ointment is applied topically to the skin, so significant drug interactions are unlikely. However, avoid applying other creams, ointments, or lotions to the same area at the same time unless advised by a healthcare professional.
