    Description

    Kwells Kids 150 Microgram – 12 Tablets

Kwells Kids 150 Microgram tablets are a travel sickness remedy specially formulated for children. They help to prevent and relieve the symptoms of motion sickness, including nausea, vomiting, and dizziness, during car journeys, boat trips, flights, and other forms of travel.

    How It Works

The active ingredient, hyoscine hydrobromide, belongs to a group of medicines called anticholinergics. It works by blocking signals between the balance centres in the inner ear and the vomiting centre in the brain, helping to reduce the feelings of nausea and the urge to vomit that can occur with motion sickness.

    Directions for Use

Kwells Kids tablets are suitable for children aged 4 years and over. The tablets can be swallowed whole, chewed, or dissolved under the tongue. The recommended doses are as follows:

    • Children aged 4–10 years: half a tablet (75 micrograms) up to 30 minutes before the journey begins. A further half tablet may be taken every 6 hours if needed. Do not give more than 1½ tablets (225 micrograms) in 24 hours.
    • Children aged 10 years and over: 1 tablet (150 micrograms) up to 30 minutes before travel. A further tablet may be taken every 6 hours if needed. Do not give more than 3 tablets (450 micrograms) in 24 hours.

Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

    Interactions

Hyoscine hydrobromide may interact with other medicines, including antihistamines, antidepressants, medicines for Parkinson’s disease, and some medicines used to treat bladder problems, as these can increase the risk of side effects. Sedating medicines, including some antihistamines and sleep aids, may increase the drowsiness caused by this product. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Kwells Kids is a children’s product and is not intended for use in adults. However, hyoscine hydrobromide should be used with caution in pregnancy, as it may cross the placenta, and it may also pass into breast milk. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

Alcohol should not be given to children alongside this medicine. Hyoscine hydrobromide can cause drowsiness, and alcohol may make this effect worse. This product is intended for use in children, and alcohol should be avoided entirely during treatment.

    Driving and Operating Machinery

Kwells Kids can cause drowsiness and blurred vision, which may affect a child’s alertness and coordination. Children taking this medicine should not ride bicycles, use machinery, or take part in activities that require concentration until you know how the medicine affects them.

    Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
