Germoloids Suppositories are a trusted treatment for the relief of pain, itching, and discomfort associated with haemorrhoids (piles) and other anorectal conditions. Each pack contains 12 suppositories for internal use.

How It Works

Germoloids Suppositories contain two active ingredients that work together to provide relief. Zinc oxide acts as a soothing and protective agent, helping to reduce irritation and inflammation in the affected area. Lidocaine hydrochloride is a local anaesthetic that temporarily numbs the area to relieve pain and itching quickly.

Directions for Use

For adults and children aged 12 years and over: insert one suppository into the rectum morning and evening, and after each bowel movement. Do not use more than four suppositories in 24 hours. Germoloids Suppositories are not recommended for children under 12 years of age. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.

• Zinc oxide 296 mg per suppository
• Lidocaine hydrochloride 6.22 mg per suppository

Possible Side Effects

• Local skin reactions such as redness, irritation, or rash at the site of application
• Hypersensitivity or allergic reactions (rare)
• Increased sensitivity to lidocaine with prolonged use
• Burning or stinging sensation upon insertion (uncommon)

Who Should Not Use This Product

• People who are allergic to lidocaine, zinc oxide, or any other ingredient in this product
• Children under 12 years of age
• Those with known hypersensitivity to local anaesthetics of the amide type
• People with open wounds or infections in the anal area (seek medical advice first)
• Anyone whose symptoms have not been previously diagnosed by a doctor — consult your GP before use

Storage

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Do not refrigerate or freeze, as this may affect the shape and consistency of the suppositories. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
