DulcoEase 100mg Capsules contain docusate sodium, a stool softener used to relieve occasional constipation by making stools easier to pass. This pack contains two packs of 15 capsules, giving you 30 capsules in total.

How It Works

Docusate sodium is a stool softener that works by allowing water and fats to mix with the stool in your bowel. This softens the stool, making it bulkier and easier to pass without straining. It is not a stimulant laxative, so it works gently and does not cause the bowel to contract.

Directions for Use

Adults and children aged 12 years and over: Take 1 to 3 capsules daily. The capsules should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. It may take 1 to 3 days before the full effect is felt. Do not take for more than 7 days without speaking to your doctor or your PillSorted pharmacist. DulcoEase is not recommended for children under 12 years of age. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.

Possible Side Effects

• Stomach cramps or abdominal discomfort
• Nausea
• Diarrhoea (if too many capsules are taken)
• Skin rash or allergic reaction (rare)
• Throat irritation if capsule is chewed or opened (capsules should be swallowed whole)

Who Should Not Use This Product

• Children under 12 years of age
• People who are allergic to docusate sodium or any other ingredient in the capsules
• People with an intestinal blockage (bowel obstruction)
• People with severe abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting of unknown cause
• People currently taking mineral oil laxatives
• People with rare hereditary conditions such as fructose intolerance (refer to the patient information leaflet for full details)

Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the capsules in their original packaging until ready to use. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
