Doublebase Emollient Bath Additive is a moisturising bath oil used to soothe and soften dry, itchy, or inflamed skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis. It is suitable for adults, children, and infants.

How It Works

Doublebase Emollient Bath Additive contains liquid paraffin and isopropyl myristate, which work by forming a protective, moisturising film over the skin. This helps to trap moisture, prevent water loss, and restore the skin’s natural barrier — leaving skin feeling softer, smoother, and less irritated after bathing.

Directions for Use

Add the required amount to a bath of warm water and soak for 10–20 minutes. For adults and children over 12 years, add 15–30ml to the bath. For children aged 1–12 years, add 5–15ml. For infants under 1 year, add 5ml. Gently pat the skin dry after bathing. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.

Possible Side Effects

• Skin irritation or redness at the site of application
• Skin rash or itching in sensitive individuals

• The bath and surfaces can become slippery — take care when getting in and out of the bath to avoid falls

Who Should Not Use This Product

• People with a known allergy or hypersensitivity to liquid paraffin, isopropyl myristate, or any other ingredient in the product
• This product should not be used near open flames or ignition sources, as paraffin-based emollients absorbed into dressings or clothing can pose a fire risk
• Do not use on broken or infected skin without first seeking medical advice

Storage

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the lid tightly closed when not in use. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
