    Description

Disprin Direct (Aspirin) – 16 Tablets

Disprin Direct tablets contain aspirin 300 mg and are used to relieve mild to moderate pain, including headaches, migraine, cold and flu symptoms, period pain, toothache, sore throat, and muscular aches. These chewable, dispersible tablets have a pleasant lime flavour, making them a convenient alternative to standard tablets.

    How It Works

Aspirin belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works by blocking the production of prostaglandins — natural chemicals in the body that cause pain, swelling, and fever — helping to reduce discomfort and bring down a high temperature.

    Directions for Use

Adults and young people aged 16 and over: place 2–3 tablets on the tongue and allow to disperse, or dissolve in a glass of water, every 4–6 hours as needed. Do not take more than 13 tablets (3,900 mg) in 24 hours. These tablets are not suitable for children under 16 years of age. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

    Interactions

Aspirin may interact with a number of medicines, including blood thinners (such as warfarin), other NSAIDs (such as ibuprofen), methotrexate, certain diabetes medicines, antidepressants (SSRIs), and medicines for high blood pressure or heart conditions. Taking aspirin alongside other pain relievers or anti-inflammatory medicines should be avoided unless directed by a healthcare professional. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Aspirin should not be taken during the third trimester of pregnancy as it may harm the unborn baby or cause complications during labour. Low-dose aspirin under medical supervision may be used in some circumstances during pregnancy. Aspirin passes into breast milk in small amounts and should be used with caution while breastfeeding. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

Drinking alcohol while taking aspirin increases the risk of stomach irritation and bleeding. It is advisable to avoid or limit alcohol consumption whilst taking this medicine.

    Driving and Operating Machinery

Disprin Direct is not expected to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. However, if you experience any unexpected symptoms, exercise caution.

    Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
