Dermol 200 Shower Emollient is a soap-free shower emollient that cleans, moisturises and helps protect dry, itchy and eczema-prone skin. It contains antimicrobial ingredients (benzalkonium chloride and chlorhexidine dihydrochloride) which help to reduce bacteria on the skin that can cause infection and worsen eczema.

How It Works

Dermol 200 works as both a cleanser and an emollient. The liquid paraffin and isopropyl myristate moisturise and soften the skin, while the antimicrobial agents benzalkonium chloride and chlorhexidine help to control skin bacteria. This dual action cleanses the skin gently without stripping its natural oils, while reducing the risk of infection in damaged or inflamed skin.

Directions for Use

Use Dermol 200 in place of your normal soap or shower gel. Apply to wet skin in the shower, lather gently, then rinse off and pat dry. Can be used as often as needed. Avoid contact with eyes. For children under 12 years, use under adult supervision. If you are unsure how to use this product, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

Possible Side Effects

• Skin irritation or stinging at the application site (uncommon)
• Allergic skin reactions such as redness or rash (rare)

Who Should Not Use This Product

• People with a known allergy to benzalkonium chloride, chlorhexidine, liquid paraffin, isopropyl myristate or any other ingredient
• Do not use on broken or heavily infected skin unless directed by a doctor

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Dermol 200 is generally considered safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding as it is applied to the skin and absorption is minimal. However, if you have any concerns, speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use.

Storage

Store below 25°C. Keep away from heat and flames — this product contains paraffin and is a fire risk if it soaks into fabric. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
