Description
Colpermin IBS Relief – 20 Capsules
Colpermin IBS Relief capsules are used to relieve the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), including stomach cramps, bloating, and discomfort. Each capsule contains peppermint oil, a well-established remedy for helping to ease the pain and spasms associated with IBS.
⸻
How It Works
Peppermint oil acts as an antispasmodic, meaning it helps to relax the muscles of the large bowel (colon). By reducing muscle spasms, it relieves cramping, bloating, and pain in the gut. The capsules are specially coated (gastro-resistant) so they release the peppermint oil in the intestine rather than the stomach, targeting where it is needed most.
⸻
Directions for Use
Colpermin is suitable for adults and children aged 15 years and over. The usual dose is 1 capsule taken three times daily, preferably 30 to 60 minutes before meals. Swallow the capsule whole with water — do not crush or chew it. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.
⸻

⸻
Interactions
There are no well-documented significant interactions with other medicines for Colpermin at standard doses. However, peppermint oil may theoretically affect how some medicines are absorbed in the gut, so it is worth checking if you take other oral medications regularly.
