Canesten Thrush Combi 500mg Soft Gel Pessary And External 2% Cream 1 Pack 1 X

Canesten Thrush Combi is a two-part treatment for vaginal thrush (candidiasis), combining a single-dose internal pessary with an external cream to relieve both internal and external symptoms. It is suitable for women aged 16 to 60 years who have been diagnosed with thrush before and recognise the symptoms.

    How It Works

Both the pessary and the cream contain clotrimazole, an antifungal medicine. Clotrimazole works by damaging the cell membrane of the Candida fungus that causes thrush, stopping it from growing and killing it off. The pessary treats the infection inside the vagina, while the cream relieves itching, redness, and soreness around the outside.

    Directions for Use

The 500mg pessary is inserted as high as possible into the vagina using the applicator provided — this is a single, one-off dose, best used at bedtime. The 2% external cream is applied thinly to the skin around the outside of the vagina two to three times daily; continue using the cream for up to seven days even if internal symptoms have cleared. This product is not recommended for girls under 16 or women over 60. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.
