Canesten Bifonazole Once Daily 1% Cream is an antifungal cream used to treat fungal skin infections, including athlete’s foot (tinea pedis), ringworm, and other fungal infections affecting the skin. It contains bifonazole 1%, which helps to clear the infection and relieve symptoms such as itching, redness, and irritation.

How It Works

Bifonazole belongs to a group of medicines called azole antifungals. It works by disrupting the cell membrane of the fungus, preventing it from growing and reproducing, which ultimately kills the infection. This helps to relieve the uncomfortable symptoms associated with fungal skin infections.

Directions for Use

Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area and the surrounding skin once daily, preferably in the evening before bed. Gently rub the cream in and wash your hands after application. Continue treatment for 2–4 weeks depending on the type of infection, even if symptoms improve earlier. For children under 12 years, consult a doctor before use. Interactions

Canesten Bifonazole 1% Cream is applied to the skin and is not significantly absorbed into the bloodstream, so interactions with other medicines are unlikely. However, avoid using other skin preparations on the same area at the same time unless advised by a healthcare professional. Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Do not freeze the cream. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
