    Description

    Benadryl 10mg One a Day – 14 Tablets

Benadryl Allergy One a Day tablets contain cetirizine hydrochloride, a non-drowsy antihistamine used to relieve the symptoms of hay fever and other allergies, such as reactions to pet hair, house dust mites, and mould.

    How It Works

Cetirizine hydrochloride works by blocking histamine receptors in the body. Histamine is a natural chemical released during an allergic reaction, and it is responsible for symptoms such as sneezing, itching, a runny nose, and watery eyes. By blocking histamine, cetirizine helps to reduce or prevent these symptoms with just one tablet a day.

    Directions for Use

Adults and children aged 12 years and over should take one 10mg tablet once daily. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not exceed the stated dose. This medicine is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

    Interactions

Cetirizine may interact with other medicines that cause sedation, including sleeping tablets, anti-anxiety medicines, and some pain relief medicines, potentially increasing drowsiness. Theophylline (used for asthma) may also interact with cetirizine at higher doses. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

The safety of cetirizine during pregnancy has not been fully established, and it is not recommended for use during breastfeeding as it may pass into breast milk. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

Although cetirizine is considered non-drowsy, drinking alcohol while taking this medicine may increase the risk of drowsiness or dizziness. It is advisable to avoid or limit alcohol consumption whilst taking Benadryl One a Day tablets.

    Driving and Operating Machinery

Benadryl One a Day is classified as a non-drowsy antihistamine; however, some people may still experience drowsiness or dizziness, particularly when first taking it. You should not drive or operate heavy machinery if you feel affected. If you are unsure how this medicine affects you, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.
