Beechams Flu-Plus Caplets are a combination medicine used to relieve the symptoms of colds and flu, including headache, fever, aches and pains, and nasal congestion. They provide effective multi-symptom relief to help you feel more comfortable while your body recovers.

How It Works

Each caplet contains three active ingredients that work together to tackle different flu symptoms. Paracetamol reduces fever and relieves pain, caffeine helps to enhance the pain-relieving effect of paracetamol, and phenylephrine hydrochloride acts as a decongestant to help clear a blocked nose by narrowing the blood vessels in the nasal passages.

Directions for Use

Adults and young people aged 16 and over: take 2 caplets up to 4 times a day with water. Leave at least 4 hours between doses. Do not take more than 8 caplets in 24 hours. Not suitable for children under 16 years of age. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.

• Paracetamol 500 mg per caplet
• Caffeine 25 mg per caplet
• Phenylephrine hydrochloride 6.1 mg per caplet

Possible Side Effects

• Nausea or stomach upset
• Difficulty sleeping (due to caffeine content)
• Increased heart rate or palpitations
• Headache
• Skin rash or allergic reactions (rare)
• Rise in blood pressure (particularly in those sensitive to decongestants)

Who Should Not Use This Product

• Children under 16 years of age
• People who are allergic to paracetamol, caffeine, phenylephrine, or any other ingredient in this product
• People taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or those who have taken them within the last 14 days
• People with severe high blood pressure or severe heart disease
• People with an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism)
• People already taking other paracetamol-containing products
• People taking other medicines for colds, flu, or nasal congestion without first consulting a pharmacist or doctor

Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
