    What’s in This Pack

    • 6 x Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo – 100ml
    • Identical to the single bottle — same manufacturer, same product

    How It Works

Dandruff is often caused by an overgrowth of a naturally occurring fungus on the scalp called Malassezia. Ketoconazole works by disrupting the outer membrane of this fungus, stopping it from growing and spreading. This helps to reduce flaking, itching, and scalp irritation.

    Directions for Use

For treating dandruff, wet your hair and apply the shampoo to the scalp. Lather, leave for 3–5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Use twice a week for 2–4 weeks. For preventing dandruff, use once every 1–2 weeks. This product is suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

    Active Ingredients

    • Ketoconazole 20 mg/g (2% w/w)

    Possible Side Effects

    • Scalp irritation or burning sensation
    • Dry or oily scalp
    • Temporary hair loss or changes in hair texture
    • Skin rash or itching at the application site
    • Allergic reactions (rare) — such as swelling, severe redness, or difficulty breathing

If you experience any serious side effects, stop taking this medicine and seek medical advice immediately.

Who Should Not Take This Medicine

    • People who are allergic to ketoconazole or any other ingredient in this shampoo
    • Children under 12 years of age (unless directed by a doctor)
    • People with a known sensitivity to imidazole antifungal medicines

    Interactions

As Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo is applied to the scalp and not taken by mouth, significant drug interactions are unlikely when used as directed. However, you should avoid using it at the same time as other medicated scalp products unless advised by a healthcare professional. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

The absorption of ketoconazole through the skin when used as a shampoo is very low. However, as a precaution, it is advisable to seek guidance before use. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

There is no known interaction between Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo and alcohol. As this product is applied topically to the scalp and not ingested, alcohol consumption does not affect how it works.

    Driving and Operating Machinery

Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo is applied externally to the scalp and is not expected to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. No special precautions are necessary.

    Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not freeze. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
