    • Identical to the single tube — same manufacturer, same product

    How It Works

The active ingredient, chlorhexidine digluconate, is a broad-spectrum antiseptic that binds to the surfaces in your mouth and kills the bacteria responsible for plaque, gum infections, and other oral problems. By reducing bacterial growth, it helps to soothe inflammation, prevent infection, and support the healing of soft tissue in and around the mouth.

    Directions for Use

Adults and children aged 12 years and over: apply the gel directly to the affected area of the gum or mouth using a fingertip or soft toothbrush, once or twice daily after brushing your teeth. Spit out after use and avoid rinsing the mouth immediately afterwards. For best results, do not eat or drink for 30 minutes after application. This product is not recommended for children under 12 years without medical advice. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

    Interactions

Corsodyl Dental Gel is not known to interact significantly with most other medicines when used as directed in the mouth. However, it should not be used at the same time as other oral care products such as toothpaste, as some ingredients (particularly anionic surfactants found in toothpaste) may reduce its effectiveness — leave a gap of at least 30 minutes between use. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Corsodyl Dental Gel is applied locally to the mouth and is not expected to be absorbed in significant amounts into the bloodstream, making it generally considered low risk during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, as with all medicines, caution is advised. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

There is no known interaction between Corsodyl 1% w/w Dental Gel and alcohol. However, it is generally advisable to avoid alcohol immediately after application to allow the gel to work effectively on the affected area.

    Driving and Operating Machinery

Corsodyl 1% w/w Dental Gel is applied topically in the mouth and is not expected to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. If you notice any unexpected symptoms after use, exercise caution and seek advice from your PillSorted pharmacist.
