How It Works

Cetirizine is a second-generation antihistamine. It works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms. Unlike first-generation antihistamines, cetirizine is less likely to cause drowsiness.

Directions for Use

• Adults and children aged 12 years and over: Take one 10mg tablet once daily
• Children aged 6-12 years: Take one 5mg tablet (half a 10mg tablet) twice daily, or one 10mg tablet once daily
• Swallow the tablet with a glass of water
• Can be taken with or without food

Side Effects
