    Description

Zerobase Emollient Cream 500g – Pack of 2

Zerobase Emollient Cream is a moisturising skin cream used to relieve dry, itchy, and flaky skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and ichthyosis. It helps to soften and soothe the skin, providing long-lasting hydration and comfort.

    How It Works

Zerobase Emollient Cream works by forming a protective layer over the surface of the skin, which helps to lock in moisture and prevent water loss. The liquid paraffin and white soft paraffin in the cream help to soften the skin and reduce the dryness and irritation associated with various skin conditions. Regular use helps to restore and maintain the skin’s natural barrier function.

    Directions for Use

Apply Zerobase Emollient Cream directly to the affected areas of skin as often as needed, or as directed by your doctor. Smooth the cream gently onto the skin in the direction of hair growth to reduce the risk of blocking hair follicles. It is suitable for use in adults, children, and infants unless otherwise advised by a healthcare professional. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

    Active Ingredients

    • Liquid Paraffin 6% w/w
    • White Soft Paraffin 15% w/w

    Possible Side Effects

    • Skin irritation or redness at the site of application
    • A burning or stinging sensation on application
    • Skin rash or allergic reaction (rare)
    • Folliculitis (inflammation of hair follicles) if the cream is not applied in the direction of hair growth
If you experience any serious side effects, stop taking this medicine and seek medical advice immediately.

Who Should Not Take This Medicine

    • People with a known allergy to liquid paraffin, white soft paraffin, or any other ingredient in the cream
    • Do not apply to broken, infected, or inflamed skin unless advised by a doctor
    • Do not use near an open flame or while smoking, as paraffin-based products can be a fire hazard when they soak into dressings or clothing

    Interactions

Zerobase Emollient Cream is applied to the skin and is not expected to interact significantly with other medicines taken by mouth. However, if you are using other topical skin products, apply them at different times to avoid diluting their effectiveness. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Zerobase Emollient Cream is generally considered suitable for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as it is applied to the skin and is not significantly absorbed into the body. However, avoid applying the cream to the nipple area if breastfeeding, to prevent the baby from ingesting it. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

There is no known interaction between Zerobase Emollient Cream and alcohol. This product is applied topically to the skin and is not affected by alcohol consumption.

    Driving and Operating Machinery

Zerobase Emollient Cream does not cause drowsiness and is not expected to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. It is applied externally to the skin and has no effect on alertness or coordination.

    Storage

Store Zerobase Emollient Cream below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct heat and sunlight. Keep the lid tightly closed when not in use to prevent contamination. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
