    Description

    Viagra Connect 50mg – 4 Tablets

Viagra Connect 50mg tablets contain sildenafil, a medicine used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men aged 18 and over. ED is when a man is unable to get or keep an erection firm enough for sexual activity.

    How It Works

Sildenafil belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. When you are sexually aroused, sildenafil helps relax the blood vessels in the penis, allowing more blood to flow in and making it easier to get and maintain an erection. It is important to understand that Viagra Connect will only work when you are sexually stimulated — it will not cause an erection on its own.

    Directions for Use

The recommended dose for adults aged 18 and over is one 50mg tablet taken approximately one hour before sexual activity. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not take more than one tablet in any 24-hour period. Viagra Connect is not intended for use in men under 18 years of age. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

    Active Ingredients

    • Sildenafil citrate 50mg (equivalent to sildenafil 50mg) per tablet

    • Indigestion or upset stomach
    • Nasal congestion (blocked or runny nose)

    • Visual disturbances (such as blurred vision or changes in colour vision)
    • Back pain

If you experience any serious side effects, stop taking this medicine and seek medical advice immediately.

Who Should Not Take This Medicine

    • Men who are taking nitrates (medicines used for chest pain, such as glyceryl trinitrate) or nitric oxide donors
    • Men taking riociguat or other medicines for pulmonary arterial hypertension
    • Anyone with severe heart or liver problems

    • Anyone with low blood pressure (hypotension)
    • Men with certain rare eye conditions such as retinitis pigmentosa
    • Anyone with a known allergy to sildenafil or any other ingredient in the tablet

    Interactions

Viagra Connect can interact with nitrates (used for chest pain), alpha-blockers (used for high blood pressure or prostate problems), other ED medicines, certain antifungal medicines (such as ketoconazole), HIV protease inhibitors, and some antibiotics (such as erythromycin). Grapefruit juice may also increase the levels of sildenafil in your blood and should be avoided. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

Viagra Connect is intended for use in adult men only and is not suitable for use by women. It is therefore not applicable in pregnancy or breastfeeding. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

Drinking alcohol whilst taking Viagra Connect can increase your chances of experiencing side effects such as dizziness, headache, and a drop in blood pressure. To reduce the risk of side effects, it is advisable to avoid excessive alcohol consumption when using this medicine.

Viagra Connect can occasionally cause dizziness or visual disturbances. If you are affected in this way, you should not drive or operate machinery until these effects have fully passed. Be aware of how this medicine affects you before undertaking such activities.
