    Description

    Treathay Fexofenadine 120mg – 360 Tablets – 1 Years Supply

Treathay Fexofenadine 120mg tablets are a non-drowsy antihistamine used to relieve the symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever), such as sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, and a runny or blocked nose. This pack contains 360 tablets, providing a full year’s supply for adults and children aged 12 years and over.

    How It Works

Fexofenadine is a second-generation antihistamine. It works by blocking histamine H1 receptors, preventing histamine — the chemical your body releases during an allergic reaction — from causing symptoms such as itching, sneezing, and a runny nose. Because it does not readily cross into the brain, it is far less likely to cause drowsiness than older antihistamines.

    Directions for Use

Adults and children aged 12 years and over: take one 120mg tablet once daily, swallowed whole with water. Do not take with fruit juices such as apple, grapefruit, or orange juice, as these may reduce the absorption of fexofenadine. Do not exceed the stated dose. Always read the product information before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

    Active Ingredients

    • Fexofenadine hydrochloride 120mg

    Possible Side Effects

    • Headache
    • Drowsiness (uncommon, but possible)

    • Dizziness
    • Dry mouth
    • Rapid or irregular heartbeat (rare — seek medical attention promptly if this occurs)
    • Skin rash or allergic reactions (rare)

If you experience any unexpected effects, stop using this product and seek advice from your PillSorted pharmacist.

Who Should Not Use This Product

    • People who are allergic to fexofenadine hydrochloride or any other ingredient in the tablet
    • Children under 12 years of age
    • People with severely reduced kidney function (unless advised by a doctor)
    • People with severely reduced liver function (unless advised by a doctor)
    • Those currently taking ketoconazole or erythromycin without medical supervision

    Interactions

Fexofenadine can interact with certain medicines. Antacids containing aluminium or magnesium hydroxide (such as some indigestion remedies) may reduce the effectiveness of fexofenadine — leave a gap of at least two hours between taking them. Taking fexofenadine alongside ketoconazole (an antifungal) or erythromycin (an antibiotic) may increase fexofenadine levels in the blood. Fruit juices (particularly apple, grapefruit, and orange juice) may also reduce absorption and should be avoided when taking this medicine. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

The safety of fexofenadine during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been fully established. It is not recommended for use during pregnancy or whilst breastfeeding unless advised by a healthcare professional. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct heat and sunlight. Keep in the original packaging to protect from moisture. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
