Description
Regaine for Women 5% Scalp Foam (4 Month Supply)
Regaine for Women 5% Scalp Foam is a clinically proven treatment for female pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia). It helps to stimulate hair regrowth and slow down further thinning or shedding at the top of the scalp.
⸻
How It Works
The active ingredient, minoxidil, works by widening the blood vessels around the hair follicles, allowing more oxygen and nutrients to reach them. This helps to revive shrunken follicles, extend the active growth phase of the hair cycle, and encourage new hair growth over time. Results are typically seen after 12 to 16 weeks of consistent use.
⸻
Directions for Use
Regaine for Women 5% Scalp Foam is for use by women aged 18 and over. Apply half a capful (approximately 1 g) of foam directly to the affected area of the scalp once daily. Part the hair to expose the scalp, apply the foam, and gently massage it in. Wash your hands thoroughly after use and allow the foam to dry completely before styling. Do not exceed the recommended dose, as using more will not improve results and may increase the risk of side effects. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.
⸻

Who Should Not Take This Medicine
• Women under 18 years of age
• Anyone with a known allergy to minoxidil or any other ingredient in the foam
• Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Those with no family history of hair loss, or sudden or patchy hair loss
• Anyone with scalp conditions such as psoriasis, sunburn, or broken/irritated skin
• People with heart disease, low blood pressure, or other cardiovascular conditions (consult a doctor first)
⸻
Interactions
Topical minoxidil is unlikely to cause significant drug interactions when used as directed, as very little is absorbed into the bloodstream. However, caution is advised if you are using other scalp treatments at the same time, as these may increase skin absorption of minoxidil. Medicines that lower blood pressure may have an additive effect if used alongside minoxidil. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.
⸻
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Regaine for Women 5% Scalp Foam should not be used during pregnancy or whilst breastfeeding. Minoxidil may be absorbed through the skin and could potentially affect the unborn baby or pass into breast milk. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
⸻
Alcohol
There is no known interaction between Regaine for Women 5% Scalp Foam and alcohol when used as directed. However, the foam itself contains alcohol (ethanol) as an excipient, which may cause localised irritation on broken or sensitive skin. Avoid applying the product to damaged scalp skin.
⸻
Driving and Operating Machinery
Regaine for Women 5% Scalp Foam is applied topically to the scalp and is not expected to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. If you experience dizziness or light-headedness as a side effect, avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until these symptoms pass.
⸻
Storage
Store below 25°C and away from direct heat, flames, or sources of ignition — the foam canister is flammable. Do not store in the bathroom or near moisture. Keep the canister upright and out of direct sunlight. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
