    Description

    Pyrocalm Control Omeprazole 20mg – 14 Tablets

Pyrocalm Control Omeprazole 20mg Tablets are an over-the-counter medicine used to relieve the symptoms of reflux in adults, including heartburn and acid regurgitation. Each pack contains 14 tablets, providing up to two weeks of treatment.

    How It Works

Omeprazole belongs to a group of medicines called proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). It works by blocking the “pumps” in the lining of your stomach that produce acid, reducing the amount of acid made and giving relief from the burning sensation and discomfort caused by acid reflux.

    Directions for Use

For adults aged 18 years and over: take one 20mg tablet once daily, swallowed whole with water — do not crush or chew the tablet. It is best taken in the morning, preferably before eating. This medicine should not be taken for more than 14 days without consulting your doctor. Do not take more than one tablet per day. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Omeprazole is not recommended for use during pregnancy as there is limited safety data available. It may pass into breast milk and therefore use during breastfeeding is also not recommended. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

There is no direct interaction between omeprazole and alcohol; however, alcohol can irritate the stomach lining and worsen symptoms of acid reflux and heartburn. It is advisable to limit alcohol consumption while being treated for reflux symptoms.

    Driving and Operating Machinery

Omeprazole is unlikely to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. However, in rare cases it may cause dizziness or visual disturbances. If you are affected in this way, do not drive or use machinery until the effects have passed.

    Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct light and moisture. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
