Description
Ovex Suspension Family Pack – Banana – 30ml
Ovex Suspension is a banana-flavoured oral suspension used to treat threadworm (pinworm) infections in the whole family. It contains mebendazole, which kills threadworms by preventing them from absorbing sugars they need to survive. This family-sized 30ml bottle contains enough for multiple doses.
⸻
How It Works
Mebendazole works by interfering with the threadworm’s ability to absorb glucose (sugar), which is essential for its survival. Without glucose, the worms cannot produce energy, and they die within a few days. The dead worms are then passed naturally from the body. Mebendazole is effective against threadworms (Enterobius vermicularis) and several other common worm infections.
⸻
Directions for Use
Shake the bottle well before use. Adults and children aged 2 years and over: take 5ml (one 5ml spoonful) as a single dose. If reinfection occurs, a second dose may be taken after 2 to 4 weeks. It is recommended to treat all family members at the same time, even if they have no symptoms, as threadworms spread very easily. The suspension can be taken with or without food. If you are unsure, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.
