Nicorette Original 4mg Medicated Chewing Gum is a nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) used to help you stop smoking. It works by reducing cravings and withdrawal symptoms, making it easier to quit smoking for good.

How It Works

Each piece of gum contains 4mg of nicotine, which is slowly released into your mouth as you chew. This nicotine is absorbed through the lining of your mouth and enters your bloodstream, helping to relieve the cravings and unpleasant withdrawal symptoms you may feel when you stop smoking. The 4mg strength is recommended for people who smoke 20 or more cigarettes a day, or who have tried lower-strength NRT without success.

Directions for Use

Adults (18 years and over): Use one piece of gum whenever you feel the urge to smoke, using the “chew and rest” technique — chew the gum slowly until the taste becomes strong, then rest it between your cheek and gum, and repeat. Most people use 8–12 pieces per day; do not exceed 15 pieces in 24 hours. Aim to stop smoking completely when starting NRT, and gradually reduce the number of pieces you use over time, with a view to stopping altogether after 3 months. Nicorette gum is not recommended for children under 18 years of age. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.

Who Should Not Use This Product

• Children under 18 years of age
• People who have never smoked
• People with a known allergy to nicotine or any other ingredient in the gum

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
