Neutrogena T/Gel Therapeutic Shampoo is a medicated shampoo used to treat and control scalp conditions including dandruff, seborrhoeic dermatitis, and scalp psoriasis. It helps to relieve itching, reduce flaking, and soothe an irritated scalp.

How It Works

The active ingredient, coal tar extract, works by slowing down the rapid overproduction of skin cells on the scalp that causes flaking and scaling. It also has antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties, which help to reduce redness, itching, and irritation associated with scalp conditions.

Directions for Use

Apply to wet hair and massage into the scalp, producing a good lather. Leave on for 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Use up to two to three times per week, or as directed by your doctor. • Anyone who has been advised by their doctor to avoid coal tar preparations

Interactions

There are no well-established significant drug interactions associated with this topical shampoo when used as directed. However, avoid using other medicated or chemical hair treatments (such as perms or dyes) at the same time, as this may increase scalp irritation.
