    Description

Migraleve Pink and Yellow (Complete) – 24 Tablets

Migraleve Complete is a two-stage migraine treatment pack containing both Migraleve Pink and Migraleve Yellow tablets, designed to relieve moderate to severe migraine pain along with associated symptoms such as nausea and vomiting. It is intended for adults and children aged 12 and over whose migraines have been diagnosed by a healthcare professional.

    How It Works

Migraleve Pink tablets contain paracetamol and codeine phosphate for pain relief, plus buclizine hydrochloride to help ease nausea and vomiting that often accompany migraines. Migraleve Yellow tablets contain paracetamol and codeine phosphate to continue providing pain relief as the migraine progresses. Together, the two formulas target both the pain and the sickness associated with a migraine attack.

    Directions for Use

Adults and children aged 12 and over: Take 2 Migraleve Pink tablets at the first sign of a migraine attack. If symptoms persist, take 2 Migraleve Yellow tablets every 4 hours as needed. Do not take more than 2 Pink tablets and 6 Yellow tablets in any 24-hour period. Do not use for more than 3 days without speaking to a doctor. Migraleve is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

Who Should Not Take This Medicine

    • Children under 12 years of age
    • People who are allergic to paracetamol, codeine phosphate, buclizine, or any other ingredient in this product
    • People who have liver or kidney problems
    • People with a history of substance misuse or drug dependence
    • People who are known to be ultra-rapid metabolisers of codeine
    • Breastfeeding mothers
    • Those taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or who have done so within the last 14 days

    Interactions

Migraleve may interact with other medicines containing paracetamol or codeine, increasing the risk of overdose. It may also interact with sedatives, sleeping tablets, antidepressants (including MAOIs), anticoagulants such as warfarin, and medicines used to treat epilepsy. Codeine can enhance the sedative effects of alcohol and central nervous system depressants. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Migraleve is not recommended during pregnancy, particularly in the third trimester, as codeine may cause breathing difficulties in the newborn. Codeine passes into breast milk and can be harmful to a breastfeeding baby, so Migraleve must not be used by breastfeeding mothers. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

You should avoid drinking alcohol whilst taking Migraleve. Both codeine and buclizine can cause drowsiness, and alcohol will significantly increase this effect, making it potentially dangerous to drive or operate machinery. Alcohol may also increase the risk of liver damage when taken alongside paracetamol.

    Driving and Operating Machinery

Migraleve may cause drowsiness, dizziness, and impaired concentration due to the codeine phosphate and buclizine it contains. You should not drive, operate machinery, or perform any activity requiring alertness until you know how this medicine affects you. The combination of Migraleve with alcohol will make drowsiness worse.

    Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
