    Description

    Maloff Protect 250mg/100mg Tablets – 36tablet 3 X – 12tablets

Maloff Protect contains two active ingredients, atovaquone and proguanil hydrochloride, and is used to prevent malaria in adults and children weighing 40kg or more. It is taken before, during, and after travel to areas where malaria is a risk.

    How It Works

Maloff Protect works by combining two medicines that attack the malaria parasite in different ways. Atovaquone disrupts the parasite’s ability to produce energy, while proguanil interferes with its ability to reproduce. Together, they work to prevent the malaria parasite from surviving and multiplying in your body.

    Directions for Use

The usual adult dose is one tablet taken once daily with food or a milky drink. Start taking the tablets 1–2 days before entering a malaria risk area, continue every day whilst in the area, and for 7 days after returning. The tablets should be taken at the same time each day. This pack contains 36 tablets (3 x 12 tablets), providing a 36-day supply for one adult. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.
