Description
Kwells 300 Microgram – 12 Tablets
Kwells 300 Microgram Tablets are used to prevent and relieve the symptoms of travel sickness, including nausea, vomiting, and dizziness. They are suitable for adults and children aged 10 years and over.
⸻
How It Works
Kwells contains hyoscine hydrobromide, which belongs to a group of medicines called antimuscarinics. It works by blocking signals in the part of the brain that triggers nausea and vomiting during travel, helping to calm the inner ear’s balance system. The tablets start to work within 20–30 minutes, making them most effective when taken shortly before your journey begins.
⸻
Directions for Use
Adults and children aged 10 years and over should take 1 tablet (300 micrograms) up to 30 minutes before the start of the journey. If needed, a further tablet may be taken every 6 hours during the journey. Do not take more than 3 tablets in 24 hours. Tablets may be swallowed whole or allowed to dissolve under the tongue. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

⸻
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
The safety of hyoscine hydrobromide during pregnancy has not been fully established, and it is known to pass into breast milk. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
⸻
Alcohol
You should avoid drinking alcohol whilst taking Kwells, as alcohol can increase the sedative effects of hyoscine hydrobromide, making you feel much more drowsy than usual. This combination can also impair your judgement and reaction times.
⸻
Driving and Operating Machinery
Kwells can cause drowsiness and blurred vision, which may affect your ability to drive or operate machinery safely. You should not drive or use machinery if you feel drowsy or experience any visual disturbances after taking this medicine. The effects may be made worse by alcohol.
